Election of the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration of the City of Idar-Oberstein

Announcement of the election day and invitation to submit election proposals

A.

The City Council of Idar-Oberstein has set the date of the election of the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration of the City of Idar-Oberstein for Sunday, November 10, 2024.

B.

I.

In preparation for the election of the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration scheduled for November 10, 2024, I invite you to submit nominations.

10 advisory board members are elected. Election proposal within the meaning of the Articles of Association for the Advisory Board for

Migration and Integration is every proposed applicant.

II.

Any person entitled to vote may submit one or more nominations up to one and a half times the number of members of the Advisory Council for Migration and Integration to be elected; they may also nominate themselves. Within this framework, clubs, associations or other organizations based in the electoral area as well as political parties and voter groups may also submit nominations.

Only nominations with the written consent of the candidate are valid. The nomination must also be signed by the nominator. The nominator and the candidates (surname, first name and address) must be clearly identified in the nomination, as well as any other characteristics required for identification. The proposer shall ensure that the candidate is given the data protection information for the declaration of consent to the election of the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration.

III.

The fully signed election proposals should be submitted as early as possible to the Idar-Oberstein municipal administration or to the election officer, Lord Mayor Frühauf, Georg-Maus-Straße 1, 55743 Idar-Oberstein.

The submission deadline is Monday, September 23, 2024, 18:00. This deadline is a cut-off deadline.

The election will not take place if no nominations are submitted or admitted or the total number of admitted candidates does not exceed the number of members of the Advisory Board to be elected. Whether or not the election can take place will be announced by October 29, 2024 at the latest.
