Announcement on the inspection of the voters' register for the election of the Advisory Council for Migration and Integration of the City of Idar-Oberstein

The electoral roll for the election of the Advisory Council for Migration and Integration of the City of Idar-Oberstein is available for inspection from October 21 to October 25, 2024 at the Idar-Oberstein City Administration, Electoral Office, Room I 219, Georg-Maus-Straße 1, 55743 Idar-Oberstein. Anyone can inspect the election during general opening hours. These are from Mondays to Thursdays from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00, Fridays from 08:00 to 12:00 and by prior arrangement.

All eligible voters can check the accuracy and completeness of their personal data entered in the electoral roll.

Anyone registered on the electoral roll will receive their voter's notification by October 20, 2024 at the latest. Anyone who has not received a voter's notification but believes they are entitled to vote must raise objections by Friday, October 25, 2024 at the latest.

Eligible voters who are entered in the electoral roll will receive a polling card with postal voting documents upon request. Eligible voters entered in the electoral roll receive a corresponding application form - on the back of the election notification - with the election notification. However, the polling card can also be applied for verbally (but not by telephone), in writing or electronically. In this case, the surname, first name, date of birth and home address (street, house number, zip code, town) must be stated; the electoral roll number and the polling district number entered on the polling card should also be stated. If the polling card and postal voting documents are to be sent to an address other than the main residence, this address must also be given.

Anyone submitting the application on behalf of another person must provide written proof of authorization to do so. Ballot papers and postal voting documents will be sent to the address of residence or officially delivered to the person entitled to vote, unless the application specifies a different address or the collection of the documents. Polling cards and postal voting documents may only be handed over to someone other than the person entitled to vote in person if the authorization to receive them is proven by submitting a written power of attorney. The power of attorney may only be used if the authorized person does not represent more than four eligible voters; this must be confirmed in writing to the Idar-Oberstein municipal administration, electoral office, Georg-Maus-Straße 1, 55743 Idar-Oberstein, before the documents are received. The authorized person must be 16 years of age or older and provide proof of identity upon request.

Voters will receive an information sheet on postal voting with their postal voting documents.

Anyone who is entered in the electoral roll or presents a polling card issued in their name may take part in the election. In case of doubt, voters must provide proof of their identity.
