Closures in the Oberstein pedestrian zone

Due to urgent work on the water pipe, Stadtwerke Idar-Oberstein has to close two sections of the Oberstein pedestrian zone one after the other to local residents and delivery traffic.

The full closure at the level of the building at Hauptstraße 420 will take place from Monday, March 10, to Tuesday, March 11, 2025. The full closure at the level of the building at Alte Gasse 8 will take place from Wednesday, March 12, to Thursday, March 13, 2025. For both measures, the existing one-way street regulation in Hauptstraße will be lifted from house number 384. Trucks will not be able to turn around.

Stadtwerke asks residents and road users for their understanding for the disruption caused by the construction work.
