The vacation activities begin on April 11, 2025 with a clean-up in the Nahbollenbach city park. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., everyone is invited to prepare the park together for the opening of the season. In addition to collecting garbage, there will be interesting information on waste separation and environmental protection.
On April 12, the skating season will open in the Idar-Oberstein city park from 1 to 6 p.m. with a small festival. The skate park is open to all age groups and offers the ideal opportunity to try out new tricks and simply have fun. Of course, the other facilities and equipment in the city park are also free to use.
For sports enthusiasts, a rope skipping workshop for 10 to 14-year-olds will take place at JAM on April 14 from 10 am to 4 pm. Under the guidance of the former German youth champion, participants will learn exciting jumping techniques and tricks, and the day will end with an exciting competition! On April 15, all 12 to 19-year-olds are invited to learn cool moves and choreographies in the street dance workshop from 12 noon to 5 pm.
A special highlight is the self-assertion workshop offered by the Idar-Oberstein Women's Emergency Hotline on April 16 from 10 am to 3 pm. Here, girls, trans* and non-binary young people will learn how to discover their own strength and present themselves with confidence. For younger skaters, there will be a skate workshop for 8 to 12-year-olds on April 17 from 10 am to 3:30 pm in the city park. Whether beginner or advanced, there's something for everyone!
Creativity will be the focus on April 22 when a batik workshop for children aged 8 to 12 takes place at JAM from 10 am to 4 pm. The creativity continues on April 23. From 10 am to 4 pm, there will be an action painting workshop for 12 to 16-year-olds, where they will work with colors and bring works of art to life. The program will be rounded off on 24 and 25 April with a photography workshop for young people aged 12 to 16. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., everything will revolve around taking and editing impressive photos.
