Lord Mayor Frank Frühauf, Senior Civil Servant (LBB) Wolfgang Petry, Staff Council Chairwoman Susanne Becker and Florian Albert, representing the HR department, welcomed the new colleagues. Four of the new employees are starting an in-service training course as educators. Specifically, these are Mia Blum at the Göttschied daycare center, Maximilian Lang at the Weierbach daycare center, Sina-Marie Steinshorn at the Nahbollenbach daycare center and Elisabeth Süsterhenn at the Enzweiler daycare center. In addition, Lena Conrad started an apprenticeship as a swimming pool attendant at the municipal utilities.
Mayor Frühauf described the city administration as a good employer and a good training company. "With an apprenticeship, you create a good foundation for the rest of your life," said the Lord Mayor. "You can make a career here with us, we support our junior staff and are delighted when our employees stay with the city for a long time," continued Frühauf. LBB Petry, who is also head of training at the city administration, congratulated the new employees on their first success. "After all, you have prevailed over other candidates in the application process." The city administration is constantly on the lookout for additional staff. "Your chances of being taken on after successful training are therefore also good," said LBB, looking to the future.
Susanne Becker welcomed the new colleagues on behalf of the staff representatives. "We are always available if you have any questions or problems and can only encourage you to get involved in your training and in the company." For the HR department, Florian Albert is "pleased that the trainees are starting at the city administration, as it is becoming increasingly difficult to find new recruits, especially for the daycare centers".
