The idea for the StattKino initiative came about because there was no longer a movie theater in Idar-Oberstein. It was intended to provide a suitable space for cinema enthusiasts with a passion for good films. The Idar-Oberstein municipal theater was found to be a suitable venue. Here - in the large living room - a varied cinema program with extraordinary films was presented from April 2013. The cinematic delights were combined with culinary treats that corresponded to the respective movie plots. In the early years, the food was even prepared by Anne Effgen and Ingrid Dalheimer-Brunk themselves.
The Cultural Office would like to thank all the helpers of the StattKino initiative for the many years of good cooperation and collaboration. The commitment of Anne Effgen and Ingrid Dalheimer-Brunk, who were responsible for the selection of films and much more, deserves special mention.
