From Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the municipal building depot will be carrying out repair work on the natural stone and paving in the Idar pedestrian zone. To carry out the work, the affected areas of the pedestrian zone will have to be temporarily closed to residents and delivery traffic.
Work will begin on the section between Marktplatz and Schleiferplatz. This is scheduled to take around three working days. Work will then be carried out in the section between Schleiferplatz and Maler-Wild-Platz, followed by the section from Maler-Wild-Platz to the junction of Bismarckstraße / Schmidtsgässchen. The one-way traffic regulation in the pedestrian zone from Marktplatz in the direction of Bismarckstraße / Schmidtsgässchen will be lifted during the construction work. The work should be completed by the Jazz Days.
The city administration asks residents and suppliers for their understanding for the inconvenience caused by the work.
