Administration closed for vote count

The European and local elections will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024. Experience has shown that the results of the European elections will be finalized on election day. However, the results of the local elections will also be determined on Monday, starting at 8.30 a.m. in the city administration offices.

As a large number of administrative staff will be deployed to determine the results, the Idar-Oberstein municipal administration will be closed to the public on Monday, June 10, 2024. However, the determination of the election results is open to the public and everyone has access. The rooms in which the individual electoral districts will be counted will be posted at the entrances to the administrative buildings.
