If you want to build your own home or modernize your house or apartment, you should find out in advance about the funding opportunities offered by the Investitions- und Strukturbank Rheinland-Pfalz (ISB). The state's development bank supports construction projects with individual development programs that can be combined with federal funding.
The ISB home ownership loan is intended to enable young families in particular to live in their own property. For example, a four-person household with two employees up to an annual gross income of around 95,000 euros can apply for the loan. For Idar-Oberstein, funding level 3 applies and the maximum loan amount is up to 175,000 euros.
The ISB modernization loan offers further funding opportunities. The program provides financial support for improving energy standards, increasing the utility value of your own property, barrier-free living and the use of alternative and renewable energies. If an efficiency house standard of at least 85 (BEG) is achieved, a loan of up to 100,000 euros is possible. To apply for a loan from the ISB, a confirmation of support is required, which is issued by the Idar-Oberstein town council. Applications for ISB loans for home ownership and modernization can be submitted to the ISB via the city administration. In contrast, ISB loans for rental apartments can be applied for directly from the ISB.
