The children at the Enzweiler daycare center can look forward to a new way to play: thanks to the deposit donation campaign at REWE Markt Schmitt in Vollmersbachstraße, magnetic building blocks could be purchased.
After the children found out about the fundraising campaign, they drew their wish - magnets for building - on a piece of paper and hoped that many REWE customers would put their deposit receipts in the designated container as a donation. And lo and behold, after a few weeks, the container was already visibly full.
"Our children were absolutely thrilled when they found out that their wish had come true," reported Sabrina Becker, head of the daycare center. They immediately rummaged through the catalog and picked out the most beautiful magnetic building blocks. "Since then, they have been used to make lots of self-built houses, towers and other objects that our children are proud to show off."
The daycare center team would like to thank REWE Markt Schmitt and all customers who donated their receipts to the Enzweiler daycare center.
