Introduction of a digital gift voucher paused

In order to supplement the existing gift voucher in Idar-Oberstein with a digital version, the business development department and city management welcomed and supported the city voucher system from KeepLocal.

However, insolvency proceedings have been initiated against the assets of KeepLocal GmbH since July 12, 2024. This development came as a great surprise.

The official sales launch of the digital gift vouchers has not yet been completed in Idar-Oberstein, which is why the insolvency has no financial impact on Idar-Oberstein. The current Idar-Oberstein gift voucher will continue to run as usual. This has strengthened the local retail trade for many years and is very popular.
