The city administration and Stadtwerke Idar-Oberstein will be closed between Christmas and the New Year - i.e. on Friday, December 27 and Monday, December 30, 2024. This also applies to municipal facilities such as the municipal archive, municipal library and tourist information office. The municipal utilities emergency service can be contacted on 06781/64-8000.
However, the municipal electoral office will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on both of these days. The office is located in the building at Georg-Maus-Straße 2, room II.004. Certificates of eligibility and documents for the submission of supporting signatures are issued there.
Changed opening hours in the indoor pool
The opening hours of the Idar-Oberstein indoor pool have changed as follows for Christmas and New Year: December 24 (Christmas Eve) open from 10 am to 3 pm, December 25 (Christmas Day) closed, December 26 (Christmas Day) open from 10 am to 5 pm, December 31 (New Year's Eve) open from 10 am to 3 pm, January 1, 2025 (New Year's Day) closed.
