The city administration and Stadtwerke Idar-Oberstein will be closed between Christmas and the New Year - i.e. on Friday, December 27 and Monday, December 30, 2024. This also applies to municipal facilities such as the municipal archive, municipal library and tourist information office. The public utilities emergency service can be contacted on 06781/64-8000. From Thursday, January 2, 2025, the administration and works will be open again at the usual times.
The opening hours of the Idar-Oberstein indoor pool have changed as follows for Christmas and New Year: December 24 (Christmas Eve) open from 10 am to 3 pm, December 25 (Christmas Day) closed, December 26 (Christmas Day) open from 10 am to 5 pm, December 31 (New Year's Eve) open from 10 am to 3 pm, January 1, 2025 (New Year's Day) closed.
