KSK employees brought gifts

The Spiel- und Lernstube is a facility run by the Idar-Oberstein Youth Welfare Office, where schoolchildren aged six to twelve receive educational support in the afternoons and help with their homework. Food and drinks are also provided for the children, and all services are free of charge.

Jörg Hertrich, head of the play and learning room, and employee Britta Lang reported that the facility is currently attended by twenty children from different nations and educational backgrounds. It is not possible to take in more without compromising the quality of care. However, there are still numerous children on the waiting list.

When the KSK employees visited, the children were in the process of displaying the Christmas tree. The presents they brought with them will be distributed at the end-of-year party on December 19 or will be placed in the fundus so that the children can occupy themselves with them during their stay.
