On Saturday, September 30, 2023, selected institutions and locations of the jewelry and gemstone industry in Idar-Oberstein will be open to exhibitors and visitors of INTERGEM free of charge in a pleasant evening atmosphere from 7 p.m. to midnight. Citizens of the city of Idar-Oberstein are also cordially invited. At the individual stations, there will not only be the appropriate information on this evening, but also an attractive supporting program with readings, guided tours, musical performances and informative contributions.
INTERGEM organizes bus shuttles so that visitors can decide for themselves which and, above all, how many stations they want to visit that evening. Alternatively, the stations can be visited by car or on foot. There are capacity limits for the guided tours. In this respect, advance online registration via INTERGEM is required if you are interested. Pre-registration is possible on the homepage www.intergem.de, where further details on the participating institutions can also be found.
The response to the first "Long Night of Gemstones" in 2022 far exceeded expectations. Over 300 visitors were welcomed to the German Gemstone Museum alone. All guided tours at the German Gemstone Museum, the Bengel Industrial Monument and the Steinkaulenberg gemstone mines were fully booked. The INTERGEM trade fair thus successfully bridged the gap to the city and the region. Something like this really only exists in Idar-Oberstein.
