The 7th edition of the 'jobzzone' in the Birkenfeld National Park district has been published - and helps school pupils with their career guidance. It offers employers a forum to proactively recruit the next generation of skilled workers. jobzzone" is published by the business development agencies of the town of Idar-Oberstein and the Birkenfeld district.
"The 'jobzzone' makes it easier to find your way around the almost endless selection of training occupations - whether it's individual jobs, employers or entire sectors. At the same time, training companies are given the opportunity to approach young people in a targeted manner," explained Lord Mayor Frank Frühauf at the presentation of the hot-off-the-press brochure in the city administration meeting room. "The fact that so many companies are taking part in the 'jobzzone' again this year shows the importance of the topic for the regional economy," commented the city's business development officers Sarah Wagner and Caroline Pehlke.
"With 'jobzzone', we offer young people the opportunity to look at employers in our region and find the perfect path for their future. Our primary goal must be to highlight our strengths as an employer and show future trainees the opportunities and prospects in the region," explains Bruno Zimmer, the district's first deputy mayor. "Our pupils are particularly interested in the regional training opportunities, but also increasingly in the dual study programs offered by companies," added Christina Biehl, Managing Director of the Birkenfeld district economic development agency.
The high-quality print edition will be distributed free of charge to pupils in the district over the next few days for use in lessons. It also offers parents at home the opportunity to find out about the current requirements and offers on the training market. After all, job profiles have changed and new ones have been added.
"With the 'jobzzone', we are reaching the employees of tomorrow to get them excited about apprenticeships in the region," explained Matthias Ess from the Matthias Ess publishing house. In addition to a packed regional database, the associated Internet platform at www.jobzzone.de offers even more tips and interesting facts about careers information and job applications. Companies also have the opportunity to present themselves and their training courses in short videos. Special service: From the print edition of 'jobzzone', pupils can use QR codes to go directly to the company profile in the online database and can then contact the training companies directly.
"Digitalization is changing existing job profiles and new ones are being added. Young people have a wealth of training opportunities open to them, which also offer excellent promotion and development opportunities. We hope that the 'jobzzone' will also increase the attractiveness of dual training for our pupils," says Gundula Sutter, Managing Director of the Bad Kreuznach Employment Agency. Around 70 companies and institutions use the opportunity to present themselves in the 'jobzzone' to showcase various training occupations and dual study courses.
