In addition, all visitors big and small were able to take advantage of a colorful variety of offers: Handicrafts, modeling, hairdressing, teddy clinic, rabbits, turtles, fire department, exercise course, photo box, singing children's songs, making farewell gifts for the future schoolchildren. Some parents put together a delicious cake buffet, barbecued or ran a drinks stand.
Thinking of others is always an integral part of the summer festival. Last year, there was a donation raffle in aid of Kindernothilfe. This year, Daniela Comont drew the nursery's attention to the ASB Wish Wagon: for more than six years, the ASB Rhineland-Palatinate Wish Wagon, which is financed by donations, has been taking seriously ill people in their last phase of life to a place of their choice. Accompanied by volunteer wish fulfillers from the emergency services and nursing care, the passengers experience an unforgettable day in which the illness is pushed far into the background. One last trip to the mountains, to a musical, to their son's wedding or one last trip home - the list of 270 fulfilled wishes from Rhineland-Palatinate is as varied as the passengers themselves. But ultimately, these trips all have the same goal: to put a smile on the faces of passengers and their families once again and to give them positive memories that give them strength.
The parents' committee and the support association collected prizes from regional companies, stores and other institutions for the donation raffle. They would like to thank all the donors who helped to create a really great raffle. They would also like to thank all the parents who bought raffle tickets. In the end, a total of 600 was raised, which has now been handed over to Klaudia Schneider, a volunteer wish granter. This will once again put a smile on the face of one of the next passengers.
