Good cooperation and a clear division of roles are therefore required in order to strengthen the approach of multi-professional work in child day care facilities. The overall responsibility for the management, planning and coordination of the social area budget lies with the local youth welfare organization. This is represented by the steering group, which includes Michael Schweizer, Katrin Schwarz and Juliane Groß from the Idar-Oberstein Youth Welfare Office and Michaela Nolde from the Obere Nahe church district. As part of the cooperation between public and independent providers, the daycare social work advice center was established two years ago. It is located in the city center on Christuskirchplatz and is very popular.
In November, for the second time this year, the steering group invited all management teams from the Protestant, Catholic and municipal daycare centers and the daycare center of Lebenshilfe Obere Nahe, as well as those responsible for running the centers and the associated specialist advisors, to exchange ideas and engage in professional discussions. Among other things, the participants listened to a very interesting presentation on the topic of "Child sexuality in contrast to sexual assault among children" by Natalie Kappler (Pro Familia), which was accompanied by Susanne Krist and Anja Post (Idar-Oberstein Educational Counseling Center).
The social area budget of the city of Idar-Oberstein is divided between daycare center social work and the daycare center competence network in the course of deployment and implementation. The aim here is for daycare center social work to develop into a central interface between the individual daycare centers and the associated social space and thus to focus on the living space of the children, parents and families. The daycare competence network should support the personnel situation through multi-professionalism in the daycare centers and thus also stimulate an exchange between the daycare centers in order to use and strengthen resources in the daycare centers.
