The assumed situation was a deflagration in a heating system in an apartment building. Due to the rapid spread of smoke and fire, several people were injured and had to be rescued.
The young people, who had arrived with fire engines, showed the observers - including fire chief Jörg Riemer and his deputy Frank Knapp as well as the four watch commanders and their deputies - all of their skills. Two victims were rescued from balconies using scaling ladders and several people were carried to safety from the fire using drag baskets. At the same time, firefighting was initiated, for which a water supply had to be set up using a reel and B-pressure hoses. A total of 16 C jet pipes were used to fight the fire.
Fire chief Riemer and his deputy Knapp were impressed by the young people's performance and praised their excellent level of training.
