Thomas D & The KBCS - Symbiosis with depth
Thomas D has actually already achieved everything with his band Die Fantastischen Vier. They have been making history for more than three decades and delighting countless fans. The first dates of their current stadium tour are already sold out. But intimacy is often lost on such large stages.
Thomas D realized early on that the best way to balance out the hustle and bustle of being a pop star was through real manual work. He has been practising this on his farm in the Vulkaneifel region for over 20 years. One day, by chance, he came across a record by the Hamburg band The KBCS. He listens eagerly to the first few minutes and wonders when the singing will finally begin. But after a few songs he realizes: this is an instrumental record.
Thomas D is enthusiastic about the warm, meditative vintage sound of KBCS. The dry drums, earthy basslines, spacey keyboard sounds and delicate, minimalist, soulful guitars. He immerses himself in this musical world and feels a strong connection. Inspired by this, an idea matures in him: this band could become the companion for his own musical journey. So Thomas D tracks down KBCS and a shared vision is born: to bring Thomas D's songs to the stage in the guise of the KBCS sound. The instrumental analogue vibe harmonizes perfectly with the timeless lyrics, which are more relevant today than ever.
The result is a loving symbiosis with depth. At a time when auto-tune and trap beats dominate the pop world, this return to the human is a blessing. Only real instruments played and recorded together in sync. And it is with this sound that Thomas D & The KBSC are now on tour together.
Thomas Blug's Rockanarchy - Classic Rock Reloaded
Every performance by Thomas Blug's Rockanarchie is new, different, ecstatic and full of passion. Thomas Blug, the "Stratking of Europe" and Rudi "Gulli" Spiller celebrate a furious journey back in time to the era of classic rock. Over twenty different drummers complete the duo again and again to form a power trio - the purist form of a rock band. This means that none of the concerts are the same, but are an unforgettable experience.
In Idar-Oberstein, ace drummer Tommy Fischer (Ernie Watts, Miller Anderson, Guildo Horn, among others) will be joining them. On this evening, Gulli, Thomas and Tommy show how to make powerful, rousing, lively and funny rock music with a small line-up. Together they perform rock classics in unheard-of versions. The all-star trio pays tribute to the music they grew up with. And they do so in a way that is as affectionate as it is ludicrous, with a great deal of spontaneity and great playful class.
Elite Experience - German rap meets soul and funk
Elite Experience, that's Kevin Q, Aronmaxin and Michael Ameer. The artists from the independent label All Elite Music offer a unique show: modern German rap meets 90s hip-hop, soul and funk.
The career of rapper Kevin Q (real name Kevin Quint) from Idar-Oberstein is currently taking off. After one of his songs was recently played at a game in the American professional basketball league, he has received contract offers from various music labels and a number of requests for live performances. Another German-speaking rapper, Aronmaxin (real name Andreas Meder), has also made a name for himself in the German rap scene over the last two years. The English-speaking rapper Michael Ameer (real name Michael Williams) was able to establish two of the most successful hip-hop and funk groups of the 90s with the formations "Poetry 'n' Motion" and "Fresh 'n' Funky".
