City administration goes on strike

The trade union ver.di has called on employees of public service companies and administrations in Idar-Oberstein and the Birkenfeld district to take part in an all-day warning strike on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. This also affects the Idar-Oberstein municipal administration, with a rally taking place in front of the town hall at 9 a.m.

The city administration would like to point out that the warning strike may result in longer waiting times for the processing of administrative matters. Appointments for the citizens' office that have been booked online will be automatically canceled. It is necessary to make a new appointment.

The administration asks those affected for their understanding for the disruption caused by the warning strike.
