The photo shows a view of the meeting room. The rows of chairs for the council members are arranged in a semi-circle in ascending order. On the wall behind them is an installation showing the outline of the town of Idar-Oberstein with the coats of arms of the individual districts.

Please no grave decorations on resting areas

These are mainly grave candles, but sometimes also large arrangements. As understandable as it is for relatives to commemorate their deceased loved ones, according to the Idar-Oberstein cemetery statutes, no grave decorations may be placed on the urn graves and lawns of the rest parks. The cemetery administration would like to point out that this is only permitted in the specially designated places. Visitors will be informed of this by appropriate signs.

Due to the increasing number of quiet parking spaces in the municipal cemeteries, the collection of items left in violation of the regulations is becoming more and more time-consuming. This is because they have to be removed and disposed of by staff before each mowing or maintenance session, and there is no obligation to store these items. The cemetery administration therefore appeals to you to use the designated disposal points.
