The photo shows a view of the meeting room. The rows of chairs for the council members are arranged in a semi-circle in ascending order. On the wall behind them is an installation showing the outline of the town of Idar-Oberstein with the coats of arms of the individual districts.

Playground in Göttschied can be used again

A new central piece of play equipment with a slide and a small climbing ladder was installed here. In addition, the outdated double swing was replaced and the playground was enclosed with a bar mesh fence. The Höstchesflur playground in the Regulshausen district is expected to be back in operation next week.

The picture consists of two photos. On the left you can see the fallen trunk of the lime tree, on the right a close-up of the torn branches.

The Barbararing playground in the Idar district, which has also been renovated, was actually scheduled to open soon. But unfortunately, reckless contemporaries have apparently taken a liking to damaging the freshly planted lime tree. Most recently, between Monday morning, June 12, and Wednesday morning, June 14, 2023, branches were torn off, the tree attachment destroyed and the trunk toppled over. As a result, the facility cannot yet be opened for play.

Anyone who can provide information about the perpetrators of the damage is asked to contact the municipal civil engineering department on 06781/64-673 or the Idar-Oberstein police station on 06781/561-0.
