The photo shows a view of the meeting room. The rows of chairs for the council members are arranged in a semi-circle in ascending order. On the wall behind them is an installation showing the outline of the town of Idar-Oberstein with the coats of arms of the individual districts.

Work begins on the Weierbach fairground

The surface water from the Weierbach fairground is currently still drained into the combined sewer. In future, it will be collected in open ditches and fed into the Schnorrenbach via the new DN 300 drainage pipe that is currently being built. The future usage concept for the fairground envisages that the upper, unpaved area will be reserved for fire station 4 as before. The lower area will be divided into car parking (on the already paved area) and motorhome parking.

Please note: As the construction of the drainage pipe in the Schnorrenbach area will begin first, the open day at Fire Station 4 on Saturday, July 1, 2023, can take place without any disruptions.
