The first day trip will take place on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, starting at 8 am. The first destination is Cochem, where a visit to the historic mustard mill is on the agenda, followed by a part of the afternoon in the city center at leisure. On the return journey, the tour will travel along the Moselle to a vineyard with wine tasting, and a short stop is also planned in Bernkastel-Kues. Arrival in Idar-Oberstein is planned for around 7 pm. The cost per person is 47 euros.
The second trip will take us to the German Shoe Museum in Hauenstein on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, starting at 8 am. After the guided tour, the tour continues to Pirmasens, where the rest of the day is at leisure. Arrival in Idar-Oberstein is also planned for around 7 pm. The cost per person is 42 euros.
As the previous tour guides are no longer available, the city council's senior citizens' office is looking for people who would like to take on this task on a voluntary basis. The travel companions serve as contact persons for the participants in the event of any questions or problems. They can take part in the trips free of charge.
