On the first two weekends in February, the Idar-Oberstein Youth Welfare Office, in cooperation with Offener Kanal Idar-Oberstein/Herrstein e. V., is offering a clip box workshop for teenagers and young people aged 12 and over as part of the federal funding program "Catching up after Corona". The workshop will be run by Nada Vitz and Jörg Freitag, two artists who have recently moved to Brücken in the Birkenfeld region.
Nada Vitz (pictured right) has been a freelance artist since 2009 and has a studio for printmaking and painting; the focus of her artistic work is on objects and collages. She regularly takes part in major exhibitions and offers a wide range of courses. Jörg Freitag produces sound collages, runs a sound workshop and works in the fields of radio plays, short films, musical design and as a chef.
On February 4 and 5, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., it's all about artistic design at the Jugendtreff am Markt. The self-built stage, which serves as the backdrop for the scenic realization, is created in a cardboard box. First, a story is written in teams, then the characters and objects are built, directed and the characters are brought to life. The great thing is that there are no limits to the imagination - animals can talk, people can fly and do crazy things.
On February 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., participants will be given an introduction to camera and editing techniques in the naheTV studio in collaboration with the professional team from the Offener Kanal, and the scenes will also be set to music with sounds and speech. This is important in order to convey emotions and moods.
- The workshop is free of charge, but registration is required by January 31, 2023. Registrations to the Idar-Oberstein Youth Welfare Office, e-mail jugendarbeit@idar-oberstein.de, telephone 06781/64-542 or -531.
