Namely for a Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) at all-day schools. The Integrative Realschule plus Idar-Oberstein in Rostocker Straße offers the opportunity to complete such a FSJ from August 1, 2023.
If you are interested in working with children and young people and are committed and creative, a voluntary social year at the Realschule plus is just the thing for you. The FSJ students can expect a wide range of tasks and exciting insights into the professional field of school, and the FSJ also offers a year of personal orientation.
After your own school career, the FSJ at an all-day school allows you to change your perspective and help shape the processes on the other side of the school desk. This can also provide insights into the work of educational professions. Volunteers support the teaching staff in lessons and with supervision, accompany the children at lunch or with their homework, help shape the afternoon activities and can even offer their own creative project. It is also possible to work in administration, perform technical tasks or support the janitor. Of course, the areas of responsibility can be supplemented and adapted according to your own skills and interests.
Volunteers receive a monthly allowance, are covered by social insurance and take part in a total of 25 training days. This provides them with the knowledge and skills they need to work with children and young people and strengthens their personal development and professional orientation. In addition, the FSJ at the all-day school is recognized as a practical part of the university entrance qualification.
