The City of Idar-Oberstein's sponsorship award for art and culture for 2022 went to local historian H. Peter Brandt. The city is now awarding the culture prize for this year. Anyone can submit proposals for the new prize winner to the city administration until the end of September.
Since 2002, the city of Idar-Oberstein has awarded the annual sponsorship prize for art and culture. It is endowed with 2,500 euros and the prize money is sponsored by Kreissparkasse Birkenfeld. The aim of the award is to support and initiate a wide range of artistic and cultural activities and disciplines. It can be awarded for outstanding artistic achievements as well as for special merits in the training of young artists. The prize is to be awarded primarily to individuals and groups from Idar-Oberstein.
- Proposals for the cultural award can be submitted to the city administration, Georg-Maus-Straße 1, 55743 Idar-Oberstein, in a sealed envelope with the keyword "Kulturpreis" until Saturday, September 30, 2023.
