On the other hand, the "Water experience and gorge exploration" offer in Bundenbach suited the weather very well. Various streams were looked at and examined in detail. In addition to searching for animals and building a small dam, various caves and gorges were also explored. Nature and landscape guide Michael Brzoska also explained to the children how these were formed and later used.
There was also plenty of sport, including the soccer camp run by SC 07 Idar-Oberstein. The daily program included four days of soccer. A small championship was held at the end of the camp to put the skills learned or improved to the test. On Friday, there was also a taster training session at Spvgg Nahbollenbach.
There was a lot to marvel at in the German Gemstone Museum. A journey back in time to antiquity and the world of stone cutting laid the foundations for later processing real gemstones into necklaces or bracelets. In this way, real pieces of jewelry could be created from initially rather inconspicuous stones, as is the tradition in Idar-Oberstein.
Gaby Hofmann's "Drachenstark" program was creative and playful. The participants took a closer look at the sometimes very fabulous creatures and got to know them. There were no limits to the imagination, because who knows if dragons didn't really exist?
The program also included a crash theater week with Kathy Becker. The aim of the workshop was to develop their own acting skills and put on a theater program. In the spotlight and with the parents as guests, a performance was then given on the final day. The young actors told a truly wonderful story. Perhaps the young artists will later be seen in the municipal theater.
