Since last year, the Idar-Oberstein town council has been working hard to bring all playgrounds up to a modern standard. Construction work on the "Wiesendellstraße" in Göttschied and "Höstchesflur" in Regulshausen began in the fall. This will be completed in the next few days and as soon as the grass surface is playable, the playgrounds can be opened. Depending on the weather, this will be possible at the end of May. The construction work on the Barbararing playground has already been completed; here, too, it depends on the playability of the grass surface.
For all three playgrounds, the city council asks that the barriers be respected so that the growing lawn is not damaged.
Construction work is now beginning in Nahbollenbach at the "Am Spielplatz" children's playground, which is expected to last two weeks. During this time, the pedestrian shortcut from the Ringstraße to the street "Am Spielplatz" will also be unusable.
