26th Idar-Oberstein Jazz Days 2023

On Whitsun weekend, the pedestrian zone in the Idar district will once again be transformed into an open-air jazz mile. From 26 to 28 May 2023, the cultural office is organizing the 26th Idar-Oberstein Jazz Days: for three days, more than twenty national and international jazz greats, up-and-coming young talent and seasoned local heroes will take to the microphones on four stages and conjure up an unmistakable live atmosphere on the streets and squares.

With artists and formations such as Rebekka Bakken and Band, the British Mammal Hands, RSxT feat. Myles Sanko & Joo Kraus, the Elina Duni & Rob Luft Group and the Omer Klein Trio, the 26th Jazztage features big names from the international jazz scene. But the rest of the line-up also features hip bands, including the Monika Roscher Big Band, Cats & Breakkies, Chelsea Carmichael, Friend'n'Fellow, the Willy Ketzer Trio feat. Terrence Ngassa, RasgaRasga, The Bluesanovas, Teresa Bergman, Chacan, The Big Groove feat. Vanesa Harbek, the Boogie Royal Trio, the Golden Swing Big Band, the Kareol Orchestra and many more.

Admission to the Jazz Days is free. The festival is supported by Vereinigte Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank eG, OIE AG, Schwollener Sprudel, Kirner Privatbrauerei and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Further information can be found at www.kultur.io.
