Possibility to object to the disclosure of information from the population register
The city administration of Idar-Oberstein points out that on the basis of §§ 42 (para. 2 and 3) and § 50 (para.1-3 and 5) of the Federal Registration Act (BMG) as well as § 58 c of the Act on the Legal Status of Soldiers (Soldiers Act) in conjunction with § 36 para. 2 BMG in the following cases. § Section 36 (2) BMG in the following cases the transmission of data from the residents' register can be objected to:
- to religious communities under public law via family members who do not belong to the same or any religious community under public law
- to parties, voter groups and other supporters of election proposals in connection with elections and votes
- to elected officials, the press or radio about anniversaries of retirement and marriage
- to directory publishers
- to the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Personnel Management for persons who have not yet reached the age of 18
