28th Idar-Oberstein Jazz Days 2025
3 days, 4 stages, more than 20 bands and free admission!
May 23 to 25, 2025 I Idar district
The 28th Idar-Oberstein Jazz Days will once again turn the Idar district into the living room of jazz from May 23 to 25. Visitors can expect international jazz diversity and thrilling live acts on four open-air stages within walking distance - with free admission and a special flair.
Musically, the spectrum ranges from virtuoso jazz to electronic influences and gentle songwriter melodies. Fola Dada will be among the performers. The winner of the 2022 German Jazz Award will delight audiences with her powerful voice and unique blend of jazz and soul. NORLYZ bring the energy of electronic music with the warmth of acoustic instruments to the stage with their electro-acoustic live sound - techno-kissed jazz that is danceable, detailed and inspiring in equal measure.
The young guitarist Louis Matute from French-speaking Switzerland is one of the most exciting newcomers on the scene - technically brilliant and stylistically innovative.
The Israeli trio SHALOSH breaks down genre boundaries and combines jazz with rock, classical music, African rhythms and Middle Eastern influences.
Alma Naidu, one of the most promising singers on the German jazz scene, combines gentle jazz with songwriting elements, folk and soul - carried by touching melodies. Of course, the Golden Swing Big Band under the direction of Uwe Kirsch, who will open the festival, will not be missing this year either.
The Idar-Oberstein Jazz Days invite you to a weekend full of musical discoveries - in the open air, in a special atmosphere and in the heart of the city.
