Culture in idar-Oberstein

The KULTURG gift for Christmas

Are you still looking for a suitable gift for your loved ones and just can't decide? Then why not give a gift voucher from the Idar-Oberstein Cultural Office to enjoy cultural experiences together.

The cultural department organizes an entertaining and varied programme throughout the year. In 2025, other venues such as Oberstein Castle are to be included in addition to the municipal theater as a classical venue.

The new year starts on January 18 with "Michael Kohlhaas" as a puppet theater with live music based on Heinrich von Kleist. A piece of world literature of current explosiveness, as if made for the passionate puppet theater of the Cipolla stage.

The concert continues on February 1 with the State Orchestra of the Rheinische Philharmonie. Under the title "Wind Serenade", the audience can look forward to works by Weill, Piazolla and Shostakovich.

On March 8, we will conclude our events at the Stadttheater with an extremely entertaining Italian song recital by Dietmar Löffler. The Hamburg Kammerspiele will present the play "Pasta e Basta" with a lot of wit and charm. Talented actors, an extremely musical troupe and a local top chef await visitors in an unforgettable theater format.

You can find all information on the individual events at www.idar-oberstein.de/kultur. Have we aroused your interest in a voucher? Contact us by telephone on 06781-64-4000 or by e-mail at kultur@idar-oberstein.de.
