Nominated for the 2024 Culture Prize: Lukas Baeskow
Lukas Baeskow is an actor and singer from the Idar-Oberstein district of Tiefenstein.
He is a member of the MV Tiefenstein and has also played in the SBO Obere Nahe.
At 14: Landesmusikgymnasium RLP (Federal Prize Jugend Musiziert, trumpet).
At 16: International Abitur at UWC-USA in New Mexico USA.
At 18: Musical theater studies at AMDA in New York City, graduated in 2018.
He appeared in several off-Broadway shows before returning home in 2021 due to the coronavirus.
Here he works on stages all over Germany.
He played Alexander in the tour of BIBI UND TINA, Bobby in CABARET (Tipi am Kanzleramt Berlin), Torben in AB IN DEN SÜDEN, Rosa/Ensemble in DIE BETTWURST (Bar Jeder Vernunft Berlin), Peter Stolz in N BISSCHEN FRIEDEN in Duisburg, KitKat Helga in CABARET in Senftenberg and Pierre in DIE FETE ENDET NIE in Bremen.
Lukas played the role of Tom from the acclaimed premiere of ABENTEUERLAND (PUR Musical) in Düsseldorf until July 2024.
I think art and culture allow us to forget everyday life and ask and present important questions. Emotions are transported and triggered. For me, that's what gives something back to the audience. Feeling life and being completely in the moment, live and without a cell phone. I am grateful for that.
