Gemstone cutter and goldsmith market with street theater

On the first weekend in August, the gemstone cutters' and goldsmiths' market takes place below the Felsenkirche church in Idar- Oberstein.

Originating from the tradition of gemstone cutting, an Eldorado for every gemstone and jewelry fan has developed here. The market features numerous exhibitors presenting geodes, minerals and silver jewelry, as well as high-quality gemstones, pearls and precious jewels. The popular street theater in the Oberstein district takes place parallel to the German Gemstone Cutter and Goldsmith Market.

A fascinating stage program takes place on the "OIE stage" at Christuskirchplatz. Along the pedestrian zone, other walk acts will delight passers-by.
