24th International Agate Exchange

The International Agate Exchange, a special mineral and fossil fair focusing on agates, petrified woods, fossils, gemstones and quartz minerals, is taking place for the 24th time.


The Agate Exchange 2025 will take place on March 3rd weekend.


The Agate Exchange is unique in its constellation and size worldwide and has received an extremely positive response from collectors, exhibitors and visitors. Every year, many of the most renowned collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world come to take part in the event.

Accompanying the fair is the special exhibition "Pictures in Agate". The multi-purpose hall and the large sports hall in Niederwörresbach near Idar-Oberstein are the ideal venue. Niederwörresbach is located in the Fischbach Valley directly on the German Gemstone Route. In this well-known agate and gemstone region, collectors can pursue their hobby and visit numerous mineral sites, and there are also a number of museums and visitor mines.

There are 400 free parking spaces available in the vicinity of the halls.


During the event, the Juchem butcher's shop will be offering spit roasts and other delicious Hunsrück specialties.
