Pasta e Basta

Hamburger Kammerspiele - Italian song recital by Dietmar Löffler

We are in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant. Three chefs, a waiter and a dishwasher. The kitchen crew is complemented by a local chef from the guest venue, who is passionate about cooking. His life consists of creating delicious pasta dishes and nothing else; pasta e basta!

For the others, the kitchen is a place of their dreams, passions and musical longing for Italy. Goodbye cooking spoon, the kitchen is now the big stage! Great voices emerge, hidden dance talents are revealed, Elvis Presley is imitated and even a grand piano has its place in the kitchen. Incoming orders are only casually considered, pasta is cooked in excess and the dirty dishes pile up in the sink.

The throats of the musical troupe only become quite silent when a lady from the office unexpectedly appears at the door and threatens to put an end to the goings-on.

Can the kitchen quartet, with the power of their music, and the local top chef with his delicious pasta creations beguile the lady from the office and avert the imminent closure of the restaurant?
