The Golden Swing Big Band can look back on more than forty years of band history. It has been a cultural award winner of the city of Idar-Oberstein since 2009. It has accompanied stars such as Bill Ramsey, Silvia Droste and Ron Williams along the way and now you can immerse yourself in the world of swing, Latin, rock and pop when the Golden Swing Big Band takes to the stage together with charismatic singer Julia Oschewsky. They present a wide range of Christmas classics and timeless melodies in their unique jazzy style.

The band cultivates the classic big band sound of the 30s and 40s and skillfully combines it with contemporary elements. Some of the dedicated amateur musicians travel long distances to swing and jazz together in the "Algenrodter Bigband" under the direction of Uwe Kirsch. They come from the Birkenfeld district, Kastellaun, Simmern, Mainz, Lauterecken, Rehborn, Kusel and Kaiserslautern.

Julia Oschewsky, the studied jazz singer from Bingen, is the perfect addition to the band. Her versatile voice harmonizes perfectly with the repertoire of the Golden Swing Big Band. Rousing rhythms, groovy melodies and soulful ballads promise an entertaining concert evening.
