    We are looking for enthusiastic specialists for our planned Regulshausen daycare center, which is expected to open in Idar-Oberstein in autumn 2024, as well as for our existing daycare centers, our play and learning room and our daycare group as soon as possible:

  • Federal voluntary service with the city of Idar-Oberstein in the areas of the city youth welfare office and the municipal play and learning center

    Three BFD positions to be filled at the city of Idar-Oberstein

    This year, the Idar-Oberstein city administration is once again offering three positions in the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD). These are two positions at the municipal youth welfare office and one at the play and learning center. The positions are to be filled as of August 1, 2024, the position at the play and learning center as of September 1, 2024.

    In addition to general administrative tasks, the tasks at the City Youth Welfare Office include working on the summer holiday program, providing concrete support for children and young people in the individual vacation projects and creatively designing posters and flyers to advertise events. The volunteers are closely involved in the planning, organization and implementation of youth cultural activities. "The Federal Volunteers complete a varied activity here, and many also use the service as preparation for a course of study or a career in the social or educational field," explains social education worker Sebastian Herzig from the City Youth Welfare Office.

    Schoolchildren aged 6 to 12 are looked after in the afternoons in the municipal play and learning room. The tasks of the federal volunteers include supporting the teachers in the areas of recreational education, homework supervision, vacation activities and housekeeping.

Head of the Public Order Office (m/f/d)

  • The main job contents include in particular

    • Management and leadership of the public order office including personnel and financial responsibility
    • Internal and external representation of the Public Order Office vis-à-vis political bodies and other departments as well as in public, including staff work in crisis situations

    The position of Head of the Public Order Office is one of the most important areas of responsibility and requires commitment and dedication. Due to the complex area of responsibility, trusting and loyal cooperation with the Lord Mayor and the Mayor as well as with the political committees is of particular importance.

    This is a permanent position, which is generally suitable for part-time work, but is to be filled full-time. If the personal and career requirements are met, the position will be filled as a civil servant in salary group A 13 LBesG (3rd E.A.) or pay group 12 TVöD.
