Plant mechanic (m/f/d) for supply engineering
Stadtwerke Idar-Oberstein is a company owned by the town of Idar-Oberstein and currently employs 65 people, 10 of whom work in the pipe network. The municipal utility supplies 13 districts with around 1.5 million m3 of drinking water via 320 km of transport pipes and 43 different pressure zones.
The central tasks include in particular
- Construction, commissioning and repair of water pipes in streets, properties and buildings.
- Installation, replacement, commissioning and maintenance of operating equipment for water supply and the monitoring and maintenance of pipe networks.
We expect:
- a completed vocational training as a plant mechanic (m/f/d) for pipe system technology, alternatively we accept a successfully completed vocational training as a pipe network builder (m/f/d) or plant mechanic for sanitary, heating and air conditioning (m/f/d)
- Professional experience in the field of water supply systems
- Knowledge of DVGW regulations and standards in the water supply sector
- Participation in on-call duty (on-call duty outside normal working hours)
- Class B driver's license
- Unrestricted physical ability to work in difficult terrain
This is a permanent full-time position. The employment relationship is based on the collective agreement of the public service (TVöD) with the usual social benefits in the public service. Depending on qualifications and fulfillment of the requirements, the position will be classified according to pay group 6 TVöD.

Administrative assistant (m/f/d) to support the team of the public order office.
This is a part-time position with 20 hours per week to be filled on a temporary basis until July 2026 as part of parental leave.
The main job contents include in particular
- Tasks in accordance with the Chimney Sweep Trade Act and related regulations
- Organization of the weekly markets and invoicing in accordance with the Idar-Oberstein market regulations and the Idar-Oberstein fee regulations
- Tasks of the lost and found office
- Tasks under fisheries law and fisheries supervision
- Notarizations according to state law
- Granting of permits in accordance with restaurant law
- Granting of exceptions according to LImSchG (loudspeaker permit)
- Settlement of homeless costs according to POG, homeless statutes and homeless fee statutes Idar-Oberstein
- General tasks in accordance with trade law, restaurant law and instructions

The prerequisite for filling the position is:
- Completed training as an administrative assistant (m/f/d) or successfully completed Administration Course I (formerly Employee Course I)

- completed at least three years of commercial vocational training
This is a temporary part-time position with 20 hours per week. Depending on qualifications and fulfillment of personal requirements, the position will be graded according to pay group 8 TVöD.
