City Marketing Idar-Oberstein e. V.

City marketing pursues the goal of increasing the attractiveness of a location, both for citizens and for retail and tourism. This is achieved, among other things, through improved communication and long-term cooperation between the individual players involved in shaping the city as a living space (especially retail and city administration) as well as through the joint development and implementation of specific projects for the living area.

A city is all the more successful in its appearance the more uniform and unmistakable the city image is both internally and externally. Idar-Oberstein is striving to become more attractive and competitive in order to meet future requirements. In view of these conditions, Idar-Oberstein also needs an urban development strategy based on a holistic and practicable marketing concept.

This was recognized by the local players. The Idar-Oberstein City Marketing Association was therefore founded in 1999. The objectives of the Idar-Oberstein Town Marketing Association are to pool forces, create synergies and coordinate private and public interests and activities.

The fields of action of the City Marketing Association lie in particular in the areas of business and employment, culture and leisure, shopping, housing and tourism.

The aim is to jointly promote and increase the potential of the city of Idar-Oberstein.
